Birth in Balance: Attitudes and Practice—Integrating What We Know

A cross-disciplinary conference for midwives, obstetricians, family practice doctors, obstetric nurses, doulas, and childbirth educators. Featuring the latest research and wisdom on birth practices and attitudes presented by Dr. Michael Klein from the University of British Columbia; Penny Simkin on her recently published analysis, “The OP Fetus: How Little We Know”; Dr. Molly Gray on toxins in pregnancy (Molly recently testified at a Senate hearing on this topic); and Sheila Capestany discussing the superb birth outcomes seen with the Open Arms Community Doula Project. Your delicious catered box lunch is included in full conference registration. If you are registering for a half day and wish to purchase lunch, the cost is $15.00.

Click the arrows at the bottom of this page to view registration fees and additional costs.

MAWS Members, be sure to login to your member account where it says "Club Member? Login to Register" on the registration page in order to get the member price.

If you plan to attend but are on call and would prefer to register at the door, please RSVP with "Conference RSVP" in the subject line, so we have enough conference packets available.

While advance registration is strongly encouraged, registration is also available at the door, and lunch is available downstairs in the Gwinn Commons Cafeteria for those who do not register in advance.
